Ględowo [ɡlɛnˈdɔvɔ] (German: Lichtenhagen)[1] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Człuchów, within Człuchów County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[2] It lies approximately 3 km (2 mi) east of Człuchów and 113 km (70 mi) south-west of the regional capital Gdańsk. It is located within the historic region of Pomerania.

History

The suffix -hagen of the historic village name is typical for settlements founded by Germans during Medieval Ostsiedlung.[3] Ględowo was a royal village of the Polish Crown, administratively located in the Człuchów County in the Pomeranian Voivodeship.[4]
