Career
Abdul Ghani was a senior commander of the Islamist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). He operated as the group's spokesman and following the fast offensive move in which major cities in Syria including the capital Damascus have become under HTS control, he addressed the media, stating that Syria is now free and that all religions will be safe to live there, as tyranny has gone forever.[1]
