The Hyundai S engine is Hyundai's first V6 diesel engine. It has a displacement of 3.0 L (2,959 cc).

Engine output varies by application. For the Hyundai Veracruz, it makes 240–245 PS (177–180 kW; 237–242 hp) at 3,800 rpm and 46 kg⋅m (333 lb⋅ft; 451 N⋅m) of torque between 1,750 and 3,500 rpm. For the Kia Mohave, it makes 250 PS (184 kW; 247 hp) at 3,800 rpm and 55 kg⋅m (398 lb⋅ft; 539 N⋅m) of torque between 2,000 and 3,500 rpm. The engine is rated at 20 mpg‑US (12 L/100 km) city and 30 mpg‑US (7.8 L/100 km) highway, and passes the US Emissions Standards.
