Club career

Simões began playing football with the youth academy of Portimonense, before moving to the youth side of Sporting CP in 2018. On 11 February 2021, he signed a youth contract with Sporting.^[1] On 9 February 2023, he signed his first professional contract with the club.^[2] He was promoted to Sporting CP B in the summer of 2024.^[3] He made his senior and professional debut for Sporting as a substitute in a 6–0 Taça de Portugal win over Amarante on 22 November 2024.^[4]

International career

Simões is a youth international for Sporting. He played for the Portugal U17s at the 2023 and 2024 UEFA European Under-17 Championship. In the 2024 edition of the tournament, he captained his side and led them to the final where they lost to the Italy U17s.^[5]
