João Pedro Arnauth Barrocas Simões (born 6 January 2007) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for the Primeira Liga club Sporting CP.

Club career
Simões began playing football with the youth academy of Portimonense, before moving to the youth side of Sporting CP in 2018. On 11 February 2021, he signed a youth contract with Sporting.[1] On 9 February 2023, he signed his first professional contract with the club.[2] He was promoted to Sporting CP B in the summer of 2024.[3] He made his senior and professional debut for Sporting as a substitute in a 6–0 Taça de Portugal win over Amarante on 22 November 2024.[4]

International career
Simões is a youth international for Sporting. He played for the Portugal U17s at the 2023 and 2024 UEFA European Under-17 Championship. In the 2024 edition of the tournament, he captained his side and led them to the final where they lost to the Italy U17s.[5]
