José Felipe Voloch (born 13 February 1963, in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian mathematician who works on number theory and algebraic geometry. He has been a professor at the University of Canterbury since 2016.[1]

Career

Voloch earned his Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge in 1985 under the supervision of John William Scott Cassels.[2] He was a professor at the University of Texas, Austin.[3]

Awards

He is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences.[4]
