Josef Jelínek (9 January 1941 – 29 November 2024) was a Czech footballer who played as a forward. He made 10 appearances for the Czechoslovakia national team, scoring twice.[1]

Life and career
Jelínek was a participant in the 1962 FIFA World Cup, where Czechoslovakia won the silver medal. He was the last surviving Czechoslovak player who participated in the 1962 World Cup final.
In his country he spent his best years playing for Dukla Prague.[2] He won the Czechoslovak First League five times with Dukla; and the Czechoslovak Cup three times.
He had a spell with Go Ahead Eagles in the Dutch Eredivisie.[3]
Jelínek died on 29 November 2024, at the age of 83.[4][5][6]
