Description
Kaldi's Coffee was established in 2005 by Tsedey Asrat and Elias Ketema.[1][2] It has operated over two dozen coffee shops in Addis Ababa as well as other cities in Ethiopia. It is by far the largest coffee house chain in Ethiopia.[3] Tseday stated in one interview that the business behind Kaldi's Coffee was:[4]
Kaldi’s was able to get popularity instantly by offering quality services and coffee. I hadn’t even thought about opening more than one at the beginning. It made sense to follow where there is demand; this led to the opening of the second chain and the others followed.
