It is a nostalgic sweet treat that is famous in South India and fondly remembered by the kids of 70s, 80s and early 90s. As school kids, they would have indulged in this delicacy from the vendors selling them on sidewalks. Easily available in rural towns and villages but is a bit uncommon in major cities.
