La Habana was a baseball team in the Cuban National Series that represented the former La Habana Province (as distinct from the city of Havana, which was part of the Ciudad de La Habana Province). It was active from the 1977–78 season through the 2010–11 season.
Nicknamed the Vaqueros ("Cowboys"), La Habana won its first ever National Series in 2008–09, and reached the National Series final against Santiago de Cuba in 2004–05. The province had three pitchers on the Cuban team at the 2006 World Baseball Classic: Yulieski González, Jonder Martínez and Yadier Pedroso.
The team ceased operation in 2011, as La Habana province was divided in two new provinces, Artemisa and Mayabeque, with their respective baseball teams, Cazadores de Artemisa (Hunters) and Huracanes de Mayabeque (Hurricanes).
