Ambigolimax melitensis is a species of air-breathing land slug, a shell-less pulmonate gastropod mollusk in the family Limacidae. [2]

Description

The length of the snail attains 20 mm, its diameter 3.5 mm.

(Original description in Latin) The snail features an elongate-conical body that tapers toward the front and is pointed at the rear, lacking a keel and uniformly displaying a pale ash-gray color. The shield is moderately sized, not swollen, finely granulated, and rounded at both the anterior and posterior ends. Beneath the shield lies a small, oval-elongated, slug-like structure that is distinctly visible. [3]

Distribution

The distribution of this species includes Malta and Italy (Sicily, Aeolian Islands, Sardinia, and the Tuscan Archipelago).[4] It also has been found in Tunisia and Algeria.[5][6]
