"Let's Go, Let's Go, Let's Go" (also known as "There's a Thrill on The Hill") is a 1960 pop and R&B single written by Hank Ballard and performed by Hank Ballard and The Midnighters.

Chart performance

The single was the last of the Midnighters' three number one singles on the US Billboard R&B chart, staying there for three non-consecutive weeks. "Let's Go, Let's Go, Let's Go" is also Ballard & the Midnighters' most successful pop single, peaking at number six on the Billboard Hot 100.[2] The record sold in excess of one million copies.[3]

Other versions

The Chambers Brothers recorded their version of the song with Willie Chambers on lead. It was produced by Jimmy Ienner, and released on the Avco label in 1973.[4] Their version debuted in the Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart at no. 94 for the week of 30 March 1974. [5] For the week of 27 April, and at its fifth charting week, "Let's Go, Let's Go, Let's Go" peaked at no. 76 in the Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart. It stayed on the chart for one more week.[6][7][8]
