This is a list of official overseas visits and Commonwealth tours made by the Prince and Princess of Wales. Prince William, as a child, first travelled with his parents on official visits and tours. He is presently one of the United Kingdom's most important ambassadors and occasionally travels abroad to represent the UK. His wife, Catherine, began undertaking official trips upon joining the British royal family in April 2011 and has since accompanied him on visits while also conducting her own solo overseas engagements on behalf of the United Kingdom. The Prince and Princess also undertake tours of Commonwealth realms, of which William's father is now king, as the monarch's representatives or as members of the realm's royal family.

9	17–19 January 2010	New Zealand	Wellington, Auckland	At the invitation of the Government of New Zealand, Prince William toured the country and represented Queen Elizabeth II at the opening of the Supreme Court building.[11][12] He paid a visit to the newly built Eden Park and was welcomed with a traditional Māori greeting at Kapiti Island where he toured nature reserves.[13] William met both the Prime Minister of New Zealand John Key and the Governor-General of New Zealand Anand Satyanand.[13] He also visited the children's ward at the Wellington Hospital and met with defence force troops at the National War Memorial.[14][15]
	19–21 January 2010	Australia	Sydney, Melbourne	Prince William visited the Sydney Botanical Gardens as well as a community centre in Redfern. He then met with the 3rd Royal Australian Regiment at the Holsworthy Barracks.[13][16] William also spent a day touring areas surrounding Melbourne damaged by bushfires in 2009, meeting with survivors and participating in a cricket game.[17][18]
10	15–16 June 2010	Botswana	Gaborone	Prince William and Prince Harry undertook joint engagements overseas for the first time in June 2010 while touring Southern Africa. Their visit to Botswana was on behalf of the Tusk Trust, of which William is patron. The Princes visited Mokolodi Nature Reserve and reviewed their conservation and educational projects surrounding environmental protection to mark their 20th anniversary.[2][19][20]

	18–19 June 2010	South Africa	Cape Town	In support of the Football Association's bid to host the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Prince William, in his capacity as president of the FA, attended an opening round of the 2010 FIFA World Cup and met members of the FIFA Executive Committee.[2][19]
11	14 November 2010	Afghanistan	Camp Bastion	Prince William laid a wreath and attended a Service of Remembrance to pay homage to British and Commonwealth sailors, soldiers, and airmen.[2] He also attended a parade before meeting with troops from the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force and visiting Camp Bastion's medical centre.[21]

13	17–18 March 2011	New Zealand	Christchurch, Greymouth	At the invitation of the Prime Minister of New Zealand, Prince William visited parts of the country affected by the 2011 Christchurch earthquake.[23] He attended a memorial service on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II, and later met with survivors and coordinators of emergency and relief services. The Prince also visited Greymouth, near the site of the Pike River Mine disaster.[2][23]

14	30 June–8 July 2011	Canada	Ontario, Quebec, Prince Edward Island, Northwest Territories, Alberta	William and Catherine undertook their first official overseas tour together after their wedding to Canada on the 225th anniversary of the first royal visit to the country by William IV.[2][26] The couple laid a wreath at the Canadian Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.[27] Activities included attending a citizenship ceremony to mark Canada Day as well as celebrations at Parliament Hill with the Prime Minister of Canada.[28][29][30] William and Catherine met with patients at the Sainte-Justine University Hospital Centre.[31] The Duke delivered a speech at Quebec City Hall entirely in French.[32] In PEI, the couple were welcomed by a traditional Miꞌkmaq smudging ceremony.[33][34] In Alberta, the Duke and Duchess met with emergency workers and families affected by fires.
	8–10 July 2011	United States	Los Angeles	The then Duke and Duchess visited California and attended an event at The Beverly Hilton supporting British trade. The couple then attended a BAFTA red carpet event, where the Duke gave a speech as its president.[2][35] They visited the Santa Barbara Polo Club, where the Duke played a match benefiting The Royal Foundation. The couple also toured an art program helping disadvantaged children before greeting veterans at Sony Pictures Studios.[36]
15	2 November 2011	Denmark	Copenhagen	The then Duke and Duchess met Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary. The couple then visited the UNICEF Supply Division, which supplies food to children suffering from malnutrition and famine, and helped pack materials for distribution.[2][37]
16	11–13 September 2012	Singapore	Singapore	The then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Singapore as part of the Diamond Jubilee Tour on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II.[2] The couple visited the Rainbow Centre, a school for children with special needs.[38] The Duke and Duchess then viewed the "Dendrobium Memoria Princess Diana", an orchid named for the Duke's late mother bred at Singapore Botanic Gardens. In honor of their visit, the "Vanda William Catherine" was named for them.[38] A state dinner was held in their honour by President Tony Tan at the Istana, where the Duke gave a speech and inspected the Honour Guard.[39][38]
	13–15 September 2012	Malaysia	Kuala Lumpur, Sabah	The then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Malaysia as part of the Diamond Jubilee Tour on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II.[2] The couple met with Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and his wife. They later visited Hospis Malaysia, where the Duchess delivered a speech as part of her work with palliative care. The Duke and Duchess attended a state dinner hosted by King Abdul Halim of Kedah before visiting As Syakirin Mosque. The couple viewed a cultural event and met students at KLCC Park, after which the Duke made remarks at the British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce.[40]
	16–18 September 2012	Solomon Islands	Honiara, Tavanipupu	The then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the Solomon Islands as part of the Diamond Jubilee Tour on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II.[2] The couple were welcomed with garlands and wore traditional dress for a dinner at the residence of the Governor-General of Solomon Islands. The Duke and Duchess visited a village in Honiara, where Catherine met with local women to discuss gender inequality in the country. The couple then observed a warrior dance and were presented with traditional jewelry in Marau.[41]
	18–19 September 2012	Tuvalu	Funafuti	The then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Tuvalu as part of the Diamond Jubilee Tour on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II.[2] Keeping with the tradition of carrying visitors who arrive by sea, the couple were carried on multicoloured thrones to meet the then Prime Minister of Tuvalu Willy Telavi.[42] Later that day, the couple met students at a primary school, watched a canoe race, and participated in a traditional dancing celebration.[43]
17	7–16 April 2014	New Zealand	Wellington, Blenheim, Auckland, Hamilton, Cambridge, Dunedin, Queenstown, Christchurch	At the invitation of the Government of New Zealand, the then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were accompanied by their son, Prince George, on their tour of the country.[2][44] The family met with Prime Minister of New Zealand John Key and received a traditional Maori welcome at the Governor-General of New Zealand's residence, greeting with a hongi.[45] The couple visited the families and children at the Plunket Society and participated in a yacht race at the home of New Zealand America's Cup team. The Duke and Duchess also laid a wreath in Blenheim to mark the 100 year anniversary of World War I before touring the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre, led by Sir Peter Jackson.[46]
	16–25 April 2014	Australia	Sydney, Brisbane, Uluru, Adelaide, Canberra	At the invitation of the Government of Australia, the then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were accompanied by their son, Prince George, on their tour of the country.[2][44] The couple met young leaders of the arts and sports at Sydney Opera House, where the Duke gave a speech. The family then attended the Royal Easter Show before meeting survivors of bushfires in damaged areas. The Duke and Duchess visited the RAAF Base Amberley and attended a service at St Andrew's Cathedral marking Easter. The couple met indigenous artists and students in Yulara, then participating in Anzac Day commemorations at the Australian War Memorial.[47] Prime Minister of Australia Tony Abbott greeted the family before their departure.[48]
18	6 June 2014	France	Arromanches	The then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with Queen Elizabeth II, attended the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Normandy Landings at Gold Beach.[2] The Duke gave remarks at the service and the couple attended a tea party, meeting veterans who served in World War II.[49]
19	4 August 2014	Belgium	Liège	The then Duke and Duchess met with King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium at the Saint-Laurent Abbey, where the Duke laid a poppy wreath at the British memorial. The Duke and Duchess attended First World War centenary commemorations at the Cointe Inter Allied Memorial, where the William gave the speech. The couple also paid their respects at the Saint Symphorien Military Cemetery.[2][50]
20	20–21 September 2014	Malta	Valletta	The then Duke of Cambridge represented Queen Elizabeth II on the visit to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Malta's Independence. He met with Prime Minister of Malta Joseph Muscat and participated in a tree-planting ceremony with President of Malta Marie-Louise Preca. The Duke then viewed the parade at Fort Saint Elmo before viewing historical documents at National Library of Malta.[51] The Duchess of Cambridge was originally due to undertake the visit, however she was suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum.[52]
21	7–9 December 2014	United States	New York City, Washington, D.C.	The then Duke and Duchess conducted a three-day tour on the east coast of the United States. The couple visited the National September 11 Memorial and Museum and attended an NBA basketball game. The Duke attended an anti-poaching hosted by the World Bank Group and gave a speech as part of his work on wildlife protection.[53][54] William met US President Barack Obama at the White House as well as Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill Biden. Catherine toured a child development center in Harlem, meeting children and helping wrap presents. The Duke and Duchess then attended a black-tie fundraiser at the Metropolitan Museum of Art to benefit their alma mater, the University of St Andrews.[55]
22	26 February–1 March 2015	Japan	Tokyo, Fukushima, Ishinomaki, Onagawa	The then Duke of Cambridge undertook a four-day visit to Japan. He took part in a traditional tea ceremony at the Hamarikyu Gardens before meeting Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko at the Imperial Palace. He paid his respects and laid a wreath at the Yokohama War Cemetery before launching a campaign for technical innovation at Academy Hills in Tokyo. The Duke also attended a reception at the British Embassy, meeting local politicians, artists, and sportsmen. The next day, William met with survivors and toured areas devastated by the 2011 Tsunami.[56][57][58]
	1–4 March 2015	China	Beijing, Shanghai, Xishuangbanna	The then Duke undertook a three-day visit to China, the first member of the British royal family to do so in three decades. He met with President of China and General Secretary of the Communist Party Xi Jinping at Great Hall of the People before touring the Forbidden City. He then launched the three-day business exhibition, the Great Festival of Creativity, promoting British innovation and business.[56][59] The Duke also attended the Chinese premiere of Paddington and visited an elephant sanctuary in Yunnan, where he gave remarks appealing to the country to consider its stance on illegal ivory trade.[60]
23	18 May 2015	Switzerland	Gland	The then Duke of Cambridge, president of the United for Wildlife initiative under the Royal Foundation, visited Switzerland to attend a series of meetings discussing progress in combating the trafficking of illegal wildlife products.[61]
24	24 March 2016	Kenya	Nairobi	At the request of Queen Elizabeth II's Government, the then Duke met with President of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta while visiting the area, discussing issues surrounding defence security and conservation.[62]
25	10–13 April 2016	India	Mumbai, Delhi, Kaziranga	At the request of Queen Elizabeth II's Government, the then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge undertook a tour of the country. The couple met residents of Banganga Tank and visited children benefitting from multiple charities, including Childline India. They later laid a wreath at the Martyr's Memorial in honour of the victims of the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks. The Duke and Duchess also attended a Bollywood charity gala and paid their respects at Gandhi Smriti. William and Catherine met with Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and attended a garden party in honour of the Queen's 90th birthday at the British High Commission.[63][64]
	14–16 April 2016	Bhutan	Thimphu	At the request of Queen Elizabeth II's Government, the then Duke and Duchess undertook a two-day visit of country. The couple met with King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema at the Tashichho Dzong on the grounds of Lingkana Palace, participating in a temple blessing.[65] The Duke and Duchess then hiked and met with monks at Paro Taktsang and attended an evening reception for British expats.[66]

27	30 June–1 July 2016	France	Thiepval	The then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry accompanied Prince Charles to attended centenary commemorations for the Battle of the Somme at the Thiepval Memorial, where the Duke gave a poetry reading written by Sebastian Faulks.[69]
28	23 August 2016	Germany	Düsseldorf	The then Duke visited Düsseldorf to celebrate 70 years of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, meeting with the Minister-President Hannelore Kraft.[70][71]
29	24 September– 1 October 2016	Canada	British Columbia, Yukon	The then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were accompanied by their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, on their official tour of Canada. The family met with the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau and witnessed a First Nations traditional greeting. The Duke laid a wreath at the Victoria Cenotaph and attended a forum for Vancouver first responders. The couple also visited charities working with social cases and addiction within children. The Duke and Duchess visited the Immigrant Services Society as well as the Great Bear Rainforest to mark the preservation of the indigenous forest, visiting Heiltsuk and Yukon communities. The couple and their children also attended a play-day alongside Canadian military families.[72]
30	11 October 2016	Netherlands	South Holland	The then Duchess undertook her first solo official overseas visit, meeting with King Willem-Alexander at his Wassenaar residence. She then visited the Mauritshuis Museum's display of Vermeer's work from the British Royal Collection. The Duchess also attended a meeting at the British ambassador's residence discussing programs on addiction and mental health in Holland.[73]
31	16–17 November 2016	Vietnam	Hanoi	At the request of Queen Elizabeth II's Government, the then Duke of Cambridge visited the country. He attended a United for Wildlife meeting and met with the Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Phuc. He held an audience with the Vice President of Vietnam Đặng Thị Ngọc Thịnh before visiting a local primary school and touring the Temple of the Jade Mountain.[74]
32	17–18 March 2017	France	Paris	At the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the then Duke and Duchess undertook a two-day visit to the country. The couple met with the President of France François Hollande at the Elysée Palace and attended a reception at the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Paris, where the Duke gave a speech regarding Anglo-French links. The couple then visited Les Invalides, meeting with veterans alongside two survivors of the Paris terror attacks. The Duke and Duchess also toured the Musée d’Orsay before attending a France v. Wales rugby match.[75]
33	9 April 2017	France	Lille	The then Duke and Prince Harry accompanied their father Charles, Prince of Wales, to attend the centenary commemorations for the Battle of Vimy Ridge, paying tribute to fallen soldiers.[76]

36	17–19 July 2017	Poland	Warsaw, Gdańsk	At the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were accompanied by their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, on their visit to the country. William and Catherine met with the President of Poland Andrzej Duda and his wife, Agata Duda at the Presidential Palace. Afterward, they met with veterans at the Warsaw Rising Museum before attending a garden party in honour of the Queen Elizabeth II's birthday. The Duke and Duchess visited Stutthof concentration camp and met with former prisoners, paying their respects at a memorial. The couple later toured the European Solidarity Centre after attending a local cultural display.[79]
	19–21 July 2017	Germany	Berlin, Heidelberg, Hamburg	At the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the then Duke and Duchess were accompanied by their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, on their visit to the country. The couple met with the Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel before visiting the Brandenburg Gate. The Duke and Duchess also visited an organisation assisting disadvantaged children before meeting President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier at the Bellevue Palace. They also visited small businesses in Heidelberg before touring the German Cancer Research Center to learn about stem cell research.[80][81]
37	30–31 July 2017	Belgium	Ypres	The then Duke and Duchess accompanied the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Theresa May in the commemorations to mark the centenary of the Battle of Passchendaele. The Duke laid a wreath alongside King Philippe of Belgium.[82]

39	29–30 November 2017	Finland	Helsinki	The then Duke visited the country to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Finland's independence. He met the President of Finland Sauli Niinistö at the Presidential Palace, Helsinki before delivering remarks written by Queen Elizabeth II.[84] The Duke delivered a speech at a reception hosted by the UK Ambassador to Finland before visiting local schools and a luncheon at Helsinki City Hall.[85]
40	30–31 January 2018	Sweden	Stockholm	At the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Sweden. The couple were accompanied on engagements by Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden throughout the trip. They attended a reception at Fotografiska and visited an exhibition on UK design before visiting Haga Palace. The Duke and Duchess visited local schools and attended meetings on mental health The couple also met with Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Löfven and his wife, Ulla Löfven before touring the ArkDes and Nobel Museums. William and Catherine also met King Carl XVI Gustaf and his wife, Queen Silvia at the Royal Palace of Stockholm.[86]
	1–2 February 2018	Norway	Oslo	At the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the then Duke and Duchess toured Norway. The couple met with Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, King Harald V and Queen Sonja at the Royal Palace. A state banquet was hosted in their honour. The Duke and Duchess also visited Hartvig Nissen School and attended an event in Holmenkollen hosted by the Norwegian Ski Federation.[86]
41	24–25 June 2018	Jordan	Amman	At the request of Queen Elizabeth II's Government, the then Duke of Cambridge visited the country. He met with Crown Prince Hussein and attended an initiative of the Prince's Foundation that equips young entrepreneurs with technology. He later delivered a speech at a reception celebriting the Queen's birthday hosted at the UK Ambassador to Jordan's residence. The Duke toured the Roman ruins of the Jerash archaeological site before meeting with Syrian refugees and visiting a women's centre.[87]
	25–28 June 2018	Israel	Jerusalem, Tel Aviv	At the request of Queen Elizabeth II's Government, the then Duke toured the area. He visited Yad Vashem and met with a Holocaust survivor, laying a wreath to pay his respects. The Duke met with Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu as well as President of Israel Reuven Rivlin before touring youth organizations and attending a soccer event. The Duke later met with the President of the Palestinian National Authority Mahmoud Abbas, attending meetings about issues faced by refugees, as well as cultural events. He also visited holy sites in Jerusalem as well as the burial site of his great-grandmother Princess Andrew of Greece and Denmark, at the Church of Mary Magdalene.[88][87]

42	8 August 2018	France	Amiens	The then Duke of Cambridge and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Theresa May attended commemorations at Amiens Cathedral marking the centenary of the Battle of Amiens.[89][90] The Duke gave a reading during the service and laid a wreath as a mark of respect.[91]
43	24–26 September 2018	Namibia	Windhoek	At the request of Queen Elizabeth II's Government, the then Duke undertook official engagements while visiting countries in Eastern and Southwest Africa. The visit to Namibia was on behalf of United for Wildlife in his capacity as president, meeting with the Vice President of Namibia Nangolo Mbumba. The Duke also attended a celebration of UK–Namibia relations at the British High Commission and met with mental health activists. The visit to Tanzania was also on behalf of the Initiative, meeting with President of Tanzania John Magufuli to discuss wildlife trade. He also visited the Port of Dar es Salaam and toured the College of African Wildlife Management. The visit to Kenya was on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II, visiting the British Army Training Unit Kenya and meeting with local soccer teams.[92][93]

The Duke and Duchess also visited the SOS Children's Village, where Catherine gave remarks surrounding her early years work and discussed their trip with CNN.[103][104]

52	19–22 March 2022	Belize	Belize City, Hopkins, Belize Barrier Reef, Caracol, Chiquibul Forest, Cahal Pech	The then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Belize as part of the Platinum Jubilee Tour on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II.[109] Upon their arrival, they were greeted by Governor-General Dame Froyla Tzalam, and later met with the Prime Minister of Belize Johnny Briceño and his wife.[110][111] During their tour of Belize, the couple visited historic Mayan sites, explored Belize's world-famous Maya chocolate making, and celebrated the rich culture of the Garifuna community in Hopkins. The Duke and Duchess also learned about the restoration efforts of Belize Barrier Reef being led by communities across the country.[112][113] They also scuba-dived to learn more about the second-largest barrier reef in the world.[114] A planned visit to the Akte 'il Ha cacao farm in Indian Creek was scrapped due to local protests by residents over lack of consultation about the local football pitch earmarked for the Duke and Duchess's helicopter landing as well as the residents' ongoing dispute over land with Fauna and Flora International, of which William is a patron.[110] At a reception by the governor-general at Cahal Pech, the Duke emphasised safeguarding democracy and added that they stood in solidarity with Ukraine amid the 2022 Russian invasion of the country.[115]
	22–24 March 2022	Jamaica	Kingston, Trench Town, Spanish Town, Montego Bay	The then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Jamaica as part of the Platinum Jubilee Tour on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II.[109] They met the Governor-General Sir Patrick Allen and his wife at King's House,[116] and were later received by the Prime Minister of Jamaica Andrew Holness and his wife, who during a meeting with the couple stated that their nation was "moving on and we intend to attain in short order our development goals and fulfil our true ambitions and destiny as an independent, developed, prosperous country".[117] During their Jamaican tour, the couple joined young football players in Trench Town, and celebrated the legacy of Bob Marley and other Jamaican musicians. At the Shortwood Teachers' College, the couple met students who are training to become early childhood education practitioners. At Spanish Town Hospital, the couple met frontline workers, and they later interacted with members of the Jamaica Defence Force at Flankers, near Montego Bay.[112] A demonstration by the Advocates Network, a human rights coalition of Jamaican activists and equalities organisations, took place near the British High Commission in Kingston to ask for an apology and compensation from the Crown for chattel slavery.[118] The coalition also penned an open letter signed by 100 Jamaican figures to demand an apology in order "to begin a process of healing, forgiveness, reconciliation and compensation".[119] In a speech delivered at the dinner hosted by the governor-general, the Duke expressed his "profound sorrow" over slavery, adding that it "should never have happened" and "forever stains our history".[120] On their final day in Jamaica, the couple attended the inaugural Commissioning Parade for service personnel from across the Caribbean who had recently completed the Caribbean Military Academy's Officer Training Programme.[112]
	24–26 March 2022	The Bahamas	Nassau, Great Abaco, Grand Bahama	The then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited The Bahamas as part of the Platinum Jubilee Tour on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II.[109] After their arrival, they were greeted by the Governor-General Cornelius A. Smith,[121] and they later had a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Bahamas Philip Davis and his wife.[122] The Rastafarian groups planned a protest on the following day to ask for reparations from Great Britain for slavery, while the Bahamas National Reparations Committee penned an open letter regarding the issue.[123] During their visit, the couple spent time with communities across the Bahamas and attended a world-famous junkanoo parade and the Bahamas Platinum Jubilee Sailing Regatta.[113][124] In a speech given at the reception hosted by the governor-general, the Duke assured the three Caribbean nations that the monarchy would "support with pride and respect your decisions about your future. Relationships evolve. Friendship endures".[125] He reiterated these sentiments in a statement released at the end of the tour, saying "I know that this tour has brought into even sharper focus questions about the past and the future. In Belize, Jamaica and The Bahamas, that future is for the people to decide upon".[126]

Catherine visited the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University and William toured the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum alongside Caroline Kennedy.[128] The Prince also met with President Joe Biden on the final day of their visit.[129]
55	22–23 March 2023	Poland	Rzeszów, Warsaw	The Prince of Wales visited Rzeszów to meet with Polish and British troops on 22 March. The following day, he paid his respects to the country's war dead at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and had talks with the Polish president Andrzej Duda at the Presidential Palace, taking the opportunity to "reiterate the profound relationship shared by our two nations and underline my continued support and gratitude to the Polish people". The Prince then headed to a food hall in downtown Warsaw where he saw how young refugees who arrived in Poland soon after the Russian invasion of Ukraine were being supported and had settled in the country.[130][131]

58	18–19 September 2023	United States	New York City	The Prince of Wales travelled to New York City to attend the second Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit where the fifteen finalists of the 2023 Earthshot Prize were unveiled.[136] The Prince first visited the Billion Oyster Project, a nonprofit working to restore oyster reefs to New York Harbor through public education initiatives. He also interacted with children from Harbor Middle School and later met the United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, during the UN General Assembly.[137] The Prince also visited an FDNY firehouse to hear about their experiences working in the city and discuss the importance of prioritizing their mental health.[138]

60	5–8 November 2023	Singapore	Singapore	The Prince of Wales travelled to Singapore to attend the third Earthshot Prize awards ceremony on 7 November. He arrived at the Jewel Changi Airport on 5 November and his first stop was at the Jewel, a nature-themed entertainment and retail complex linked to one of the airport's passenger terminals, which also houses the world's tallest indoor waterfall — the HSBC Rain Vortex — surrounded by terraced gardens and trees.[141] The Prince then took part in a dragon boating race on the Kallang River on 6 November.[142] He also attended the United for Wildlife Global Summit later on the same day which took place for the first time outside the United Kingdom.[143] The Prince rounded off his trip by taking a hike at the Tree Top Walk with Singapore's deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong on 8 November where he also spoke to volunteers. He then headed to the Centre for Wildlife Forensics, a special laboratory linked to the international effort to monitor the DNA of illegal wildlife products.[144]

66	4–7 November 2024	South Africa	Cape Town	The Prince of Wales travelled to Cape Town to attend the fourth Earthshot Prize awards ceremony on 6 November.[152] Upon arrival, his first engagement was a meeting with young environmentalists as part of the prize's inaugural Climate Leaders Youth Program.[153][154] Later, the Prince also met with young South Africans from three townships with whom he played rugby.[155] The following day, the Prince embarked on a hike, joined by the conservationist Robert Irwin.[156] During the visit, he also spoke with the local experts regarding their critical work to protect the region's flora and fauna; he also had an audience with the South African president Cyril Ramaphosa at the latter's official residence.[157] Later that day, the Prince also announced a five-year financial package that will provide rangers across Africa with subsidised health and life insurance.[158] He also met with the fifteen finalists of the 2024 prize ahead of the awards ceremony on 6 November for a walk through Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden.[159] The Prince also visited Simon's Town Harbour on 7 November and met with met volunteers working for the National Sea Rescue Institute.[160] Later that day, he also visited the Kalk Bay Harbour to highlight the contributions of former Earthshot Prize finalist Abalobi.[161]
67	7 December 2024	France	Paris	The Prince of Wales attended the official reopening of the Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris upon receiving an invitation from the French president Emmanuel Macron.[162] He also met the First Lady of the United States Jill Biden and the President-elect of the United States Donald Trump at the ceremony and later held a private meeting with the latter to discuss the relationship between the United Kingdom and the United States.[163]
