Makhdoom (Arabic: مخدوم, meaning one who is served and sometimes spelled Makhdum,Bengali: মখদুম, romanized: Mokhdumis) is an Arabic word meaning "Teacher of Sunnah." It is not only title but considered as early settler tribe in Punjab. They have strength in areas like sargodha, basti makhdoom, mandi bahauddin, langar makhdoom,mianwal ranjha. In some regions of punjab group of Pirs, and landlords in South and Central Asia. They have Template:Large land holdings in central asia and south asia.

A Sufi Saint, Theologian, Poet, renowned Islamic scholar and jurist from Sindh, whose contributions to knowledge and spirituality left an indelible mark on history. his life was dedicated to the propagation of Islamic teachings, the guidance of the community, and the pursuit of spiritual excellence. He died in 1593 AD (1002 AH) at the age of 102 and was interred in Darbelo's Qureshi (Makhdoom) Mohalla, south of Jamia Mosque in Darbelo Pakistan
