Mees Röttgering (born 7 July 2007) is a Dutch tennis player. He has a career-high ranking of world No. 644 achieved on 14 July 2025.[1] He is the current No. 1 Junior singles player.[2]

Early life
Röttgering was born in Wanssum in the Venray region of the Dutch province of Limburg. He began training in tennis when he was six years-old. He later attended a LOOT school specially set up for young athletes in collaboration with Sint-Joriscollege in Eindhoven.[3][4]
Since 2014, Röttgering coach was Jochem Mol in Veldhoven.[5] Ten years later he also started working with former professional Sjeng Schalken.[6][7][8]

Career
2023-2024: Juniors
In 2023 he reached the semifinals of the senior Dutch Championships as a 16 year-old, where he was defeated by Gijs Brouwer.[9]
In February 2024, he reached the semifinals in the boys' singles of the 2024 Australian Open, and a futures final in Sharm El Sheikh to become the only 16 year-old inside the top 1000 male rankings.[10][11][12] In doing so, he became the youngest Dutch man ever to reach a singles final on the ITF World Tennis Tour.[13]
He reached the final of the boys singles at the 2024 Wimbledon Championships with a win over top seed and junior French Open champion Kaylan Bigun in the quarterfinal,[14] and a straight sets win over Théo Papamalamis of France in the semifinal.[15] In the final he lost to Nicolai Budkov Kjær in straight sets.[16][17][18]
He won the 2024 ITF Junior Finals in October 2024, defeating Rafael Jódar in the final in straight sets.[19]
2025: Turning pro, ATP debut
Röttgering received a wildcard for his ATP debut at his home tournament, the 2025 ABN AMRO Open in Rotterdam, where he made his ATP debut.[20]
