Tunis University (Arabic: جامعة تونس, French: Université de Tunis) is a public university in Tunis, Tunisia. It was founded in 1960 on the basis of earlier educational establishments.

Preparatory Engineering Institute

The Tunis Preparatory Engineering Institute (Arabic: المعهد التّحضيري للدّراسات الهندسيّة بتونس) was created according to the law N°95-40 on 24 April 1995.^[6]
