Mikael Pyyhtiä (born 17 December 2001) is a Finnish professional ice hockey player for the Cleveland Monsters of the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League (NHL).[1]

Playing career
Pyyhtiä was drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the fourth round of the 2020 NHL entry draft and signed a three-year, entry-level contract in May 2022.[2] He made his NHL debut on 13 April 2023 against the Pittsburgh Penguins, recording an assist.[3]
On 13 August 2025, Pyyhtiä as a restricted free agent was re-signed to a one-year, two-way contract with the Blue Jackets for the 2025–26 season.[4]

Personal life
His younger brother Niklas is a professional footballer,[5] his older brother Tuomas is an amateur ice hockey player[6] and their father Tomi is a former footballer.[7]
