Minjavan-e Sharqi Rural District (Persian: دهستان منجوان شرقي)[3] is in Minjavan District of Khoda Afarin County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.[4] Its capital is the village of Janan Lu.[5]

Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population (as a part of the former Khoda Afarin District in Kaleybar County) was 5,727 in 1,376 households.[6] There were 5,213 inhabitants in 1,460 households at the following census of 2011,[7] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Khoda Afarin County. The rural district was transferred to the new Minjavan District.[4] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 5,066 in 1,715 households. The most populous of its 37 villages was Janan Lu, with 1,742 people.[2]
Other villages in the rural district include Dari Lu, Tatar-e Olya, and Tu Ali-ye Sofla.
