History
Parabole was founded by Etienne Lemieux, Maxime Charbonneau, and Alexandre Fiset in 2012. Before creating the studio, all three worked at Beenox, a subsidiary of Activision.[1] Their initial idea for the studio was to create short games for people who did not have a lot of free time.[2] On August 7, 2014, the company launched a crowdfunding campaign on the Kickstarter website to fund the development of Kona, their first game. Their goal of CA$40,000 was reached on September 6, 2014, with CA$44,271 raised by 1,304 people. On July 15, 2022, the game's sequel, Kona II : Brume, was announced.[3] The game was released on october 18, 2023.[4]
