Population
Parner taluka has a population of 274,167 according to the 2011 census. Parner had a literacy rate of 75.64% and a sex ratio of 955 females per 1000 males. The entire population was rural. Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes make up 6.97% and 6.22% of the population respectively.[3]
At the time of the 2011 Census of India, 96.11% of the population in the district spoke Marathi and 2.50% Hindi as their first language.[4]
