Horror is a daimon appearing only in Seneca's Oedipus.[1]

Etymology

Horror literally means shaking, trembling, and the feeling of horror.[2] This meaning is shared by the word φρίκη (phríkē),[3] which is used often in Ancient Greek tragedy.[citation needed]
