Maxwell Elliot Dent (born April 3, 2003), known professionally as PlaqueBoyMax,[1] is an American online streamer, record producer, and rapper from West Orange, New Jersey. Beginning his streaming career on Twitch in 2021, he gained mainstream attention in April 2024 after joining FaZe Clan before departing the group in 2025, and for his In The Booth series of streams.[2][3] He is signed to Field Trip Recordings and released his debut solo mixtape Five Forever in May 2025.

Early life
Maxwell Elliot Dent was born on April 3, 2003 in West Orange, New Jersey, and is the second of three children born to Keith and Priscilla Dent. He has an older sister named Olivia and a younger brother named Nicholas.[4][5]
Dent attended West Orange High School, where he played on the varsity basketball team, and graduated in 2021. He took a gap year following graduation in order to pursue live-streaming full time, and created a Google Slides presentation in order to convince his parents to do so.[6]
He is a Christian.[7]

2019–2021: Basement Boyz
During his time in high school, Dent was the editor and featured in videos for the Basement Boyz, a group YouTube channel that was made by him and his friends. Their content included pranks and rap-centered videos. The channel would reach nearly 200,000 subscribers before the group disbanded.[6]
2021–2023: Initial popularity
In April 2021, Dent would create his Twitch account under his current moniker, which is inspired by YouTube plaques. His content would initially consist of reactions, community events through Discord, and gaming. During this time, Dent would begin to host shows such as Song Wars, where artists would send music to be ranked in a tournament.[3]
2024: FaZe Clan and In The Booth
In May 2024, Dent would be the first new addition to FaZe following a revamp of the organization. Shortly afterwards, he would begin his In The Booth series of streams, in which he invites artists to create songs that will be engineered by him and then uploaded to streaming services.[8] Songs such as "Laced Max" by Lazer Dim 700, and "Pink Dreads" by DDG gained popularity, boosting the profiles of the artists and Dent.[9] Dent developed a reputation as a notable promoter in hip hop as a result of his streaming presence.[1]
2025–present: London, Atlanta, Five Forever, FaZe Clan departure, and hospitalization
Beginning on January 1, Dent attempted to stream every day for the entire year of 2025, as well as being active on social media platforms every day during the streak, posting on Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram, in addition to his daily YouTube vlogs. However, the streak began to decline, as he stopped doing daily YouTube vlogs and Instagram posts by early April due to copyright issues. He ended his 365-day streaming streak on June 3, citing burnout reasons.
On January 24, Dent reached his second highest concurrent view-count of over 127,000 viewers during a stream with Central Cee.[10][11] In March, American actor and rapper Will Smith appeared on Max's stream to promote his album Based on a True Story.[1] On March 20, Dent independently released the EP London, which included songs recorded on-stream in the aforementioned city with Nemzzz, Skepta, Lancey Foux, YT, and Len.[12][13][14][15]
On May 23, Dent released the EP Atlanta through Field Trip Recordings, which included contributions from Quavo, DJ Drama, Tana, 1300Saint, ApolloRed1, Flo Milli, Lazer Dim 700, and Hardrock.[16] A week later, his debut solo mixtape, Five Forever, was released.[17]
On August 5, Dent announced his departure from FaZe Clan to focus on his own brand, 5$TAR.[18]

On September 15, 2025, Dent was unfortunately hospitalized for an undisclosed health condition.[20] In a video posted from his hospital bed, Dent offered words of gratitude while addressing supporters throughout his harrowing ordeal, telling them they should be appreciative of what they have, as all that can be taken away at any moment. Further clarity arrived during Kai Cenat's Mafiathon 3 stream, when Cenat’s friend Tylil, who revealed he was in the same hospital as PlaqueBoyMax, called in to explain what happened. According to Tylil, Max initially woke up with severe shoulder pain and began vomiting on his way to the hospital. Once admitted, he was reportedly unable to move his neck or right arm.[21] After further clarification, it was determined that Dent had an infection that was caused due to the lack of proper care for his recent tattoos.[22][23][24]
Fans from around the world offered their well-wishes to Dent, who also gave an emotional shoutout to fellow streamers and his former Faze colleagues Silky, Kaysan, and StableRonaldo for visiting him in the hospital the same day he got admitted.[25]
On October 8, 2025, during his time in the hospital, Dent would go on to hilariously confront rapper, Fivio Foreign, about calling out Kai Cenat over not being invited to Mafiathon 3 and selling weed with Dent's likeness. During the stream, he hopped on the phone with Foreign and jokingly pressed him.[26]
