Synthesis

The compound can be obtained from PaI₅ by heating at 350-380 °C in a continuously pumping vacuum.^[3][4]

Physical properties

PaI₃ forms a dark brown solid.^[3] The compound has a PaBr₃ crystal structure.^[3]
