Ranboo (born November 2, 2003) is an American YouTuber and Twitch streamer primarily known for their Minecraft content. He gained popularity after his inclusion in the Dream SMP[2][3] and competing in MC Championship.[3] As of September 2024, they have 4.4 million followers and over 100 thousand subscribers on Twitch, making them the 57th most-followed Twitch streamer overall and the 12th most-subscribed Twitch streamer overall.[4]

Career
YouTube
Ranboo created his account on January 30, 2020.[5][6] He uploaded his first video on August 13, 2020 titled 'I decided to play skywars, it was a nightmare'.[7] He uploads a wide range of videos, with his most popular videos being cooking vlogs.[citation needed]
Livestreaming
Ranboo reportedly began livestreaming a month after his first video went public and gained following after fellow streamer Punz raided his streams with over 5,000 viewers.[5] Ranboo streams a variety of games, including real life streams.[8]
Ranboo joined the Dream SMP after planning to run for president of L'Manberg despite not being on the server. He gained recognition from the owner of the server, Dream, and received an invite to the SMP.[5]
Misfits Gaming
In 2022, Ranboo joined Misfits Gaming as part of its content creator section. On February 8, 2024, Ranboo announced they were no longer with Misfits Gaming.[6][9][10]

Generation Loss: The Social Experiments
Generation Loss: The Social Experiments (commonly referred to as Generation Loss or Genloss) is an analog horror comedy[citation needed] ARG created by Ranboo in 2023. It was livestreamed on Twitch and has almost four hours of content to be watched.[11][unreliable source?] The series later was nominated at the 2023 streamer awards.[12]
The Sorry Boys
In 2023, Ranboo, along with fellow Twitch streamers and YouTubers TommyInnit, Wilbur Soot, Slimecicle, and Philza, started a new comedy group YouTube channel called The Sorry Boys. The channel mainly posted sketch comedy group vlog content.[13] The group officially went on an indefinite hiatus in March 2024[14] due to fellow content creator, Shubble, alleging abuse and other questionable behaviours by Wilbur Soot towards her during their relationship.[15]
In 2025, Ranboo had a cameo in the Game Changer episode "Crowd Control". In the episode, contestants Jeff Arcuri, Gianmarco Soresi and Josh Johnson did crowd work with audience members wearing shirts with prompts on them. Ultimately, they were never called on at any point.[16]

Ranboo was born on November 2, 2003,[2][6][17] in the San Francisco Bay Area, California.[citation needed]
Ranboo has stated they would like to be unlabeled.[8][18] Ranboo uses they/he pronouns. Ranboo wears a mask to cover his identity.[8]
Charity
On February 20, 2021, Ranboo hosted a subathon for The Trevor Project.[19][20] He reportedly raised over $100,000.[citation needed]
In June 2022, Ranboo participated in a Minecraft charity tournament held by MC Championship called MCC Pride with several other online creators. The event managed to raise over $145,000 for The Trevor Project.[21][22]
