Saško Kedev (Macedonian: Сашко Кедев), also Sashko Kedev (born 6 July 1962) is a Macedonian politician and doctor of medical sciences. He is a member of the political party VMRO-DPMNE.
Personal life
Born in Štip, Kedev graduated high school in his hometown. He is a physician specialist cardiologist. From 1991 to 1993 he was a specialist at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute; National Institutes of Health, USA, full professor at the Faculty of Medicine at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, European intervention certified cardiologist, certified intervention cardiologist in the U.S.[1] He was director of the University Clinic of Cardiology in Skopje from 1999 to 2003. He lives in Skopje.
He was elected as a corresponding member of the Macedonian Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2015 in the Department of Medical Sciences.[2]

Mountaineering
As a mountaineer he has climbed Mont Blanc (together with the alpinist Jovan Poposki - Jove and the alpinist Nadir Murseli), Matterhorn, Weisshorn etc.
He has also ascended all of the seven highest summits on every continent.
On 19 May 2009, Kedev climbed Mount Everest,[3] becoming the third Macedonian to scale the highest peak in the world.
In the Himalayas mountain range, Saško Kedev has climbed the following 14 mountain summits higher than 8000 meters:
- Mount Everest (8848 m) on 19. May 2009;
- Manaslu (8163 m) on 27. September 2021;
- Dhaulagiri I (8167 m) on 9. April 2022;
- K2 (8611 m) on 22. July 2022;
- Broad Peak (8047 m) on 29. July 2022;
- Annapurna I (8091 m) on 15. April 2023;
- Nanga Parbat (8126 m) on 2. July 2023;
- Cho Oyu (8188 m) 2. October 2023;
- Makalu (8463 m) on 5. May 2024;
- Lhotse (8516 m) on 13. May 2024;
- Gasherbrum II (8035 m) on 22. July 2024;
- Shishapangma (8027 m) on 4. October 2024;
- Kangchenjunga (8586 m) on 23. May 2025;
- Gasherbrum I (8080 m) on 20. July 2025, at 10:44 AM Pakistan standard time;
With all of these ascents Kedev is the first Macedonian who climbed all of the 14 summits above 8000 meters.[4]

Politics
From 2002 to 2006 he was a member of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia. In April 2004 he was a presidential candidate but lost in the second round against socialist Branko Crvenkovski.
