Semaj Nelson (born September 27, 2007), known professionally as Maajins, is an American rapper, singer and record producer. He is known for his production of the song, “Antisocial” with Slump6s and Tana and the sequel, “Antisocial 2”. Both of which gained significant traction online.

Semaj Nelson was born on September 27, 2007, in New Jersey to a music-influenced family, his mother being a former singer while his father was a former DJ. He began making music at the age of ten, when he began to use his dad's spare equipment from time to time. During this age, he would also self-teach himself how to use FL Studio, he would watch Nick Mira-directed YouTube videos on how to learn the basics.[2]

Breakthrough

Maajins first started gaining traction with the release of tana's single "Antisocial" with fellow teenage rapper Slump6s.[3][4] As well as the sequel to it, dubbed "Antisocial 2", which featured the duo of Slump6s and tana, but also saw them recruit SSGKobe, Yung Fazo, and Xhulooo.

Around this time, Maajins would also begin rapping. On August 16, 2021, Maajins would release "8Lbs", a collaborative track featuring rapper Xhulooo. In December, he would release "MILLIONS?" with Shyllomoo and Jonoftf. In 2022, Maajins would release his debut album Lost Files V1, which had eight tracks and a feature from Jaydes. The same year, on November 25, 2022, he would go on to release his second album, Forgiveness, which would also have eight tracks, and features from Jonoftf and Slump6s. In 2023, Maajins would release his nine track album, dubbed Teenage Feelings, featuring Bandanna$aint.[5] According to Alphonse Pierre of Pitchfork, he wrote how the album saw Maajins "polish up his elastic melodic style" and that his "the must-hear rap song of the day" off the album was "Outlaw". Entering the year 2024, on February 2, Maajins would release his solo album,'Ivy, which had ten tracks.[6]. In the same year, in September 27, 2024, he would release the Enjoy the Ride, which had 14 tracks as well as a feature from frequent collaborator, Jonoftf.[7] On December 20, 2024, he would release the 19-track deluxe for it, dubbed enjoy the deluxe, which had a guest feature from mental. In September 27, 2025, he would release his latest album, dubbed No, Superhero, which featured 14 new tracks and a verse from frequent collaborator, Xhulooo.
