@Ghmyrtle: I'm continuing to work on an article about Artie Ripp. Thank you for your earlier research. If it's not too much trouble, would you mind letting me know where you found his date of birth? You mentioned accessing public records, but I haven't been able to find the data. I'd like to be able to cite the source. Thank you. Kekki1978 (talk) 20:03, 11 November 2015 (UTC)

His age is given as 75 in sources like this and this. So far as his date of birth is concerned, I subscribe to Ancestry.com, which (quite separately from its user-generated family tree content) provides online access to US public databases - in this case listed as Ancestry.com. U.S. Public Records Index, 1950-1993, Volume 1 [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: Ancestry.com Operations, Inc., 2010. I know there are other online ways of accessing this information in the US, but I don't know what they are (I'm in the UK). But, it is a primary source, I haven't seen his date of birth published elsewhere, and you may prefer simply to give his year of birth. Ghmyrtle (talk) 20:30, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
