Demand function

The demand function is not correct. It correspond to the expenditure and not the demand! 62.23.45.165 (talk) 16:53, 31 March 2010 (UTC)

Now the demand is correct, I think, as long as you normalize the sum of the beta's to equal one. Otherwise I get the same thing but with the second term on the RHS divided by the sum of the betas. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.186.250.208 (talk) 23:45, 3 December 2011 (UTC)

The link http://www.ucd.ie/economic/staff/pneary/pdf/geary97.pdf comes back as forbidden for me, can somebody please fix it or remove it?
