Were Yuka Takaoka and Phoenix Luna dating?

This question has been the cause of many edits and reversions on this article so it would be lovely to get to the bottom of it. I found a transcription of the actual court case testimony

At face value it seems clear they weren't dating but I recall discovering an alternate interpretation a few months ago, cannot remember what it is now. Quite a number of sources consistently use "boyfriend": "her boyfriend Phoenix Luna", "to stab her boyfriend", "attempted to murder her boyfriend", "plunging a kitchen knife into the stomach of her boyfriend" etc. etc. etc. The changed being attempted on the article over the last many days lack any supporting citations. Also, I concur the translation is problematic. Tossing it into Google Translate yields confusing text. Regardless, this is a primary source and needs to be used carefully.
