History

The first reference to Terňa in historical literature appears in 1259 when Béla IV of Hungary donated Terňa to a Šariš royal named Therne.^[4]

Terňa lies at an altitude of 383 metres (419 yd) and covers an area of 29.4 km² (11.4 sq mi) (2020-06-30/-07-01).^[5]
