Premise

Amidst a Fourth of July celebration a disturbing figure named Tommy Taffy emerges, and imposes authoritarian rule over an unsuspecting family.

Production

In February 2025, it was announced a horror based on the viral internet Creepypasta story "The Third Parent" was in development.^[1] The following month, Rob Lowe, Roselyn Sánchez, and Crispin Glover were cast, with Bleecker Street acquiring the North American distribution rights.^[2]

Filming began in March 2025 in Budapest.^[3]

After filming was complete, HanWay Films was announced as handling the international sales that would be launched at the Cannes Film Festival.^[4]
