Grivița is a commune in Vaslui County, Western Moldavia, Romania. It is composed of three villages: Grivița, Odaia Bursucani and Trestiana.

Geography

The commune covers approximately 63 km² (6,353 ha), with 276 ha inside village limits and 6,077 ha of outlying areas. Located about 10 km southeast of Bârlad, it lies along national road DN24D, which connects Bârlad and Galați. Geographically, Grivița is situated in the Tutova Hills region of the Central Moldavian Plateau, at elevations ranging from approximately 125 to 193 meters, with its town hall around 170 m above sea level. The commune experiences a temperate continental climate, featuring hot summers, cold winters, frequent thermal inversions, and annual precipitation between 400 and 500 mm.[3]
