The museum is situated in the Varberg Fortress. It also consists of Bexell Cottage (Bexellska stugan), Galtabäck boat museum (Båtmuseet i Galtabäcks hamn) and Fågelboet, the former home of the author August Bondeson (1854-1906).[2][3]
