Yadanarbon F.C. quickly rose to prominence, becoming one of the league's most successful and popular teams. In the inaugural MNL Cup 2009, they emerged as champions, setting a strong foundation for the seasons that followed. The club continued its dominance by winning the Myanmar National League titles in 2009, 2010, 2014, and 2016, becoming a powerhouse in Myanmar football.

A landmark achievement came in 2010, when Yadanarbon F.C. became the first Myanmar club to win a continental title by claiming the AFC President's Cup. Their success on the international stage marked a high point in Myanmar's club football history.

The club is known for its strong youth development program and has consistently produced players who have gone on to represent the Myanmar national team. Yadanarbon F.C. also holds a fierce rivalry with Yangon United, and their encounters are among the most anticipated in the domestic league.
