The club was founded in 2014 after the merger of two clubs: Enosi Neon Ypsona and Digenis Akritas Ipsona. Until May 14, 2019, the name of the club was Enosi Neon Ypsona-Digenis, before changing their name to Ypsonas FC (Greek: Ένωση Νέων Ύψωνα - Διγενής Ύψωνα).[1]

In July 2022, Russian football blogger Yevgeny Savin, previously owner of Russian club FC Krasava, bought the club and became the new owner. The club then changed their name and adopted a similar logo to Krasava.

Savin is a former football player. According to his own account, he bought the club for US$450'000. After he had released a video interviewing football players like Andriy Yarmolenko, Andriy Voronin and Dario Srna on the Russo-Ukrainian War, he was threatened with criminal charges concerning public actions aimed at dicreediting the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The Moscow-based 3rd Division club Krasava that Savin had founded just in 2020, could not get any field to use for its home games. He fled to Cyprus where he takes a second attempt with building up his own football club will be renamed FC Krasava – ENY Digenis Ypsona. In 2024 the team changed is name to Freedom 24 ENY Ypsonas fc. In the 2024-25 Cypriot Second Division the club achieved promotion to the Cypriot First Division, making it the second russian club to be in the first division, after Pafos.[2][3]
