History
Zadara was co-founded in March 2011 by Nelson Nahum, Eli Shapira, Robi Hartman, and Yair Hershko. The company initially focused on providing storage-as-a-service solutions compatible with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
In 2021, Zadara acquired NeoKarm,[2] a Tel Aviv-based developer of AWS-compatible cloud systems, to enhance its compute capabilities.
Around the same time, Zadara rebranded from 'Zadara Storage' to simply 'Zadara' to reflect its broader cloud service offerings.
In 2022, Zadara acquired ZVS,[3] a Brazilian cloud services provider, expanding its edge cloud footprint across Latin America and reinforcing its commitment to global coverage and sovereign cloud services.
In April 2023, Yoram Novick was appointed as Zadara's new CEO,[4] with co-founder Nelson Nahum transitioning to the roles of Chief Technology Officer and Chairman of the Board. According to a CRN report, the company also announced intentions to achieve profitability during this leadership transition.
