Etymology 1
Inherited from Proto-Turkic *tölek (“tranquil, sedate, quiet”) and thus related to دولنمك (dölenmek, “to rest, calm down”); cognate with Chuvash тӳлек (tülek), Chagatai [script needed] (tölek) and Middle Mongol [script needed] (dolüeyen).
