- A letter of the Runic alphabet, with the reconstructed name *tīwaz (“god”), present in the Elder Fuþark, the Anglo-Saxon fuþorc (called tīr), and the Younger Fuþark (called Týr), representing /t/ and associated with Tyr (in the Icelandic rune poem) and Polaris (in the Anglo-Saxon one).
