Unorthodox form simplified from 寬 (萈 → 莧). Elimination of 丶 (zhǔ) stroke and alteration of ⻀ (ram's horn component) → 艹 (grass radical).
Originally found in the historical Longkan Shoujian (龍龕手鑑) dictionary (997 AD).
