Pronoun

๐’ข โ€ข (zeโ‚‚ /ze/) (before genitive, dative, comitative markers ๐’ (za))

  1. you, thou (second-person independent personal pronoun)

Usage notes

  • ๐’ข (zeโ‚‚ /โ zeโ /) becomes ๐’ (za) when followed by a case marker that contains the vowel /a/, i.e. genitive /ak/, dative /ra/, or comitative case /da/.
  • The final vowel /e/ becomes /ฤ“/ before the enclitic copula, and it is often indicated by the plene spelling, e.g.:
    ๐’ข๐’‚Š๐’ˆจ ๐’‰บ๐’ฝ๐’€€๐’‰Œ ๐’ƒถ๐’ˆจ โ€• zeโ‚‚-e-me maลกkim-a-neโ‚‚ แธซeโ‚‚-me /zฤ“men maลกkimane แธซฤ“men/ โ€• You yourself should be his commissioner.
