1. Augmentative suffix

   ‎thli (“wind”) + ‎-pui → ‎thlipui (“storm”), literally “big wind”

   ‎khua (“village, town, city”) + ‎-pui → ‎khawpui (“capital city”)

2. Forms the names of adult female animals

   ‎bâwng (“cattle”) + ‎-pui → ‎bâwngpui (“cow”)
