1. (US politics, derogatory) Acronym of Democrat in name only, typically used by liberal members of the U.S. Democratic Party to describe Democrats whose views are conservative or perceived as conservative.
2. (real estate, humorous) Acronym of developer in name only, a real estate development company or individual that is still active, but does not have any developments underway due to a downturn in the market or in the economy in general.
