1. (international standards, obsolete) Former ISO 4217 currency code for the Ghanaian cedi.

   Synonym: GHS (standard code)

Usage notes

This code was added to ISO 4217 prior to the cedi's introduction on 1 July 2007, at which point it was to come into effect. However, it was removed and replaced by GHS before doing so, on the request of the Bank of Ghana.
