     Die Geschöpfe bewegten sich, doch man sah weder Kopf noch Schwanz auftauchen und plötzlich rufe ich: ›Kinder, das sind auch keine Delphine; das sind die Rückenwölbungen eines einzigen Ungeheuers: es ist die Seeschlange!‹ Das gab ein Hallo, ein Laufen und Schreien!
