The same handshape for 3@Side-PalmForward (“three”) with the same orientation and similar movement as the other number signs from SmallO@Side-PalmBack Release (“eleven”) through OpenB@Side-PalmBack Flatten (“fifteen”).
Production
- This one-handed ASL sign is produced as follows:
- Posture the dominant hand in the “open U” (Hu) handshape about half an arm’s length in front of the shoulder, dominant palm facing back.
- Repeatedly flatten and extend the index and middle fingers, keeping them together.
- Posture the dominant hand in the “open A” handshape about half an arm’s length in front of the shoulder, dominant palm facing back.
