Particularly: “From Latin lebēs / Ancient Greek λέβης (lébēs, kettle, cauldron) + -ia? Or directly from λείβω (leíbō, to pour forth, to flow), with conventional Latin transliteration removing the i? No other Latin/Greek etyma seem to fit.”
