deration (third-person singular simple present derations, present participle derationing, simple past and past participle derationed)

  1. To remove rationing restrictions from (a product or commodity), so that the amounts one can buy or obtain are no longer limited by regulation.
    In the UK, following World War II, petrol was not derationed until 1950.
