digester (plural digesters)

  1. One who, or that which, digests.
  2. A vessel for converting materials, especially plant and animal matter, into materials more suitable for subsequent use or further processing, using solvents, especially water; relatively low heat; enyzymes; bacteria, etc..

  4. (dated) A medicine or food that aids digestion, or strengthens digestive power.
