      Trevelyan has been criticised for claiming, in 2012, that there was "clear evidence that the ice caps aren't melting at all" and that "we aren't getting hotter - global warming isn't actually happening". In a series of tweets unearthed by Labour opponents, she labelled some climate scientists as "doom-mongers".
