Noun

dragmark (plural dragmarks)

  1. A surface imperfection, typically a series of fine vertical laps or ridges near the shoulder or neck of a glass container.
  2. (geology) A long, even mark with longitudinal striations left by an object dragged across a sedimentary surface by a water current.
  3. (computing) A visual indicator, often a line or a highlighted area, that shows a user the exact position where a dragged and dropped element will be placed within a user interface.
