     Some Pseudoalteromonas spp. have chitinases [38 ], which could provide a carbon source from the copepod exoskeleton, as is the case for many Vibrio spp., however our methods cannot distinguish whether the detected bacteria were present as endo- or ectobionts on the copepods.
